06Common questions

Answered plainly

How do I become a new patient?

Send us an appointment request or call (502) 454-8800. We respond within one business day, confirm your insurance, and schedule your first visit.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept TRICARE, Medicare, and most major commercial plans. Send us your carrier in the appointment request and we will verify your benefits before your visit.

How long is the first appointment?

Plan on about an hour for a first psychiatric evaluation. Follow-up visits are usually shorter. We will tell you what to bring when we confirm your appointment.

Do you offer telehealth visits?

Yes. Many medication follow-ups and therapy sessions can be done by secure video, as long as you are physically in Kentucky during the visit. Some visits, including TMS therapy, need to happen in our Newburg Road office.

What if I am in crisis right now?

If it is an emergency, call 911. You can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741. Our office is not a 24-hour crisis line.
