Text Messaging Terms & Consent

What you are consenting to

If you check the text messaging box on our appointment request form, you agree that Louisville Behavioral Health Systems, PLLC may send you text messages about scheduling — confirming an appointment request, offering an opening, sending a reminder, or letting you know we tried to reach you.

Consent is not required for care

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of treatment or of any purchase. The box is unchecked by default. Declining it will not delay or affect your care; we will call you instead.

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies based on your appointments. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. We do not charge for text messages.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or call (502) 454-8800 and ask us to remove your number. Reply HELP for help. After you opt out you may receive one confirmation message.

SMS is not secure

Standard text messages are not encrypted and can be seen by anyone with access to your phone. We keep messages to scheduling logistics only and will not include clinical details. Please do not text symptoms, medications, diagnoses, or any other health information. Call the office instead.

Never for emergencies

Text messages are not monitored around the clock and must never be used for urgent or emergency needs. Call 911 in an emergency. Call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741.

Keeping your number current

Tell us if your mobile number changes so messages do not reach someone else. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy
